Post Craft Show

Hello everyone!
This is N&N posting (like M&Ms, but one letter further in the alphabet... and better). Just so you know, N&N stands for Nicole and Natalie, two of your 7-week summer travel counsellors. We're here with an update about events in your own lovely Burlington.

This past weekend's craft show was a great success. The BAC acted as a fitting backdrop for the unique and inspired pieces the vendors were offering. Visitors purchased everything from skin care products to creative birdhouses (and Natalie spent more money than she should have). Thanks to all the vendors and visitors who made this event possible.

Also, a reminder that this coming weekend includes the much anticipated Sound of Music Festival! Not only that, but it's the 30th anniversary of this event which has become a Burlington summer tradition. Thursday opens with performances by Divine Brown and Ronnie and the Jets. Friday's headliners include Kim Mitchell, Matt Dusk, and Robert Michaels. Saturday afternoon brings us the Wilkinsons, USS, and the Sicilian Jazz Project, while the evening ushers in Sloan, Paul James Band, and the Elizabeth Shepherd Trio. The festival concludes with Sunday's lineup of Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, the Stills, and the Tartan Terrors. It sounds like it will be a great festival, complete with not only music, but great food, rides, and fun for all. Be sure to drop by (and make sure to visit our Burlington Tourism tent - it'll be bright and yellow).

Scheduled for the same time as SOM is Downtown Streetfest, located on Pearl St. This festival offers more music, food, and sights to see.

Not only do we have info about big Burlington events, but we also have info about locations all over Ontario! Today alone we recieved brochures for the CNE, Oshawa, and the South Georgian Bay (for your info, we also have one about the SouthERN Georgian Bay). They were promtly filed and labelled by Natalie, who was far too excited to have recieved that many new brochures. We're expecting new Niagara brochures soon! Exciting! Oh the adventures...

If you have any questions or comments drop by our spiffy Tourism Office at 414 Locust St., or give us a call at (905) 634-5594. Ask for the Task Force. We'll know what you mean.

Don't Stop Believing,
N&N
